RISE Solicitation: Accounting A-133 Audit Services

RISE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization looking for proposals for Legal Services.
Background:

RISE supports the development of a new industry cluster around resilience in the Hampton Roads region. RISE’s goal is to advance the region’s position as a resilience innovation hub for entrepreneurs with new resilience-building technologies, products, and services to test, validate, demonstrate, and build into viable businesses.

RISE achieves this by:
● Surfacing resilience challenges faced by key stakeholders operating in coastal environments
● Conducting challenges to source innovative solutions to the resilience challenges identified by stakeholders
● Brokering access to the Hampton Roads living laboratory for innovators looking to evaluate, validate and demonstrate their resilience products and services
● Accelerating the growth of businesses offering innovative solutions to coastal resilience challenges by providing access to funding, business mentorship and other resources

Since 2018 RISE has completed four Coastal Community Resilience Challenges resulting in more than twenty small businesses piloting solutions in Hampton Roads. Our 2021 Challenge was the most popular to date, attracting one hundred applications and resulting in six finalists. RISE has recently launched the RISE 2022 Coastal Resilience Challenge in October 2021.

 

Because RISE’s total expenditures in 2021 were greater than $750,000, we are required to submit an OMB A-133 Audit (Single Audit). We are seeking an independent (CPA) to:

  • Prepare a GAAP-compliant OMB A-133 Audit (Single Audit) for Coastal Community Resilience, Inc. DBA RISE, which comprises the statement of financial position as of December 31,
  • The audit process will begin after March 1, 2022, and RISE is required to furnish this report to its sponsor by September 30th, 2022.

 

Submission:

A-133 Audit Experience. Experience should include the following categories:

  • Experience auditing nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience advising clients conducting similar programs and government‐funded
  • Prior experience with A-133 Audits.

 

  1. Billing Breakdown. Offeror shall be prepared to submit detail related to the estimated total cost of the audit. Services billed at an hourly rate, if any, broken down into time increments of no more than a quarter hour.
  2. SAM.GOV Registration. The federal funds used for this procurement will require that the awardee must have a DUNS number and be registered on SAM.GOV (with no exclusions). Respondents should indicate if they have the DUNS number and SAM.GOV registration, or if they intend to obtain them. Either case will allow their response to be considered.

RISE Solicitation: Website Development and Marketing

Scope of Work

RISE is looking for the following services:

Website Development and Design:

  1. Enhancement/redesign of RISE’s current website riseresilience.org while (preferably) maintaining the current domain and continuing to use WordPress. The primary goals of the redesign are to:
  • Provide content and information for our primary audiences, including interactive graphics and photography, video, and modern design that is optimized for mobile
  • Provide better UX for defined audience segments
  • Promote the upcoming 2022 Challenge
  • Provide supporting documentation/information for Challenge applicants
  • Install website analytics to enable visitor tracking
  1. Provide training to the RISE staff to manage the website content.
  2. The ability to provide website analytics and visitor tracking.
  3. Development of a native blog page and training for the RISE staff on updates and maintenance of content.

Marketing and Media needs:

  1. Design custom flyers for the 2021 Challenge and its multiple topic areas.
  2. Create an overview brochure about RISE, its programs and achievement.
  3. Capture or procure professional photos for website and marketing collateral of the Hampton Roads region and other relevant images relevant to RISE’s mission, programs and achievements.
  4. Provide guidance and support surrounding social media and digital strategies.

RISE Solicitation: Social Media and Digital Marketing Services

Scope of Work

RISE is looking for the following social media/digital marketing services:

  • Planning: Collaborate with RISE to design comprehensive, holistic social media plans that meet determined objectives and address the needs of targeted audiences and campaigns
  • Production/Creative: Write, design, capture, and produce weekly social content, including copy, graphics, and photography/videography for RISE social media and digital channels:
    • Three content designs per week (approximately 12 per month) prepared for multiple social media platforms
    • One photo shoot per month, including location shoots within 25-mile radius, on a predetermined topic appropriate for posting on digital channels to promote brand awareness or specific campaign objectives
    • One video per month, including location shoots within 25-mile radius, on a predetermined topic appropriate for posting on digital channels to promote brand awareness or specific campaign objectives
    • Weekly check-ins and editorial collaboration to define brand voice and copy/content
    • Monthly check-ins to determine strategic goals and content calendar
  • Challenge Campaign Coverage: Planning and execution of campaign to encourage applications and awareness for upcoming Coastal Resilience Challenge, including development of copy, graphics and assets
  • Paid Media Strategy: Develop occasional unique platform-driven strategies to increase awareness, consideration and conversion of target audiences through paid media planning and buying including, but not limited to, targeted digital ads on multiple platforms when appropriate
  • Analytics and Reporting: Deliver reports to review campaign performance, provide analytics and insights based on mutually determined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
